Delivery & Returns

Order Processing & Despatch

Our online shop is open for web orders with delivery or Click & Collect.

We try to dispatch your order as quickly as possible and on many occasions this can be the same or next day.  However there may be times when there may be a delay or we may need to contact you to clarify your order or offer an alternative if we have sold out.

Our order system will email you to keep you updated about what’s happening with your order as we process it.


We send packages via Hermes or Royal Mail both of whom aim to deliver them in the UK within 2-3 working days, but occasional delays outside our control can mean they sometimes take up to 10 days in total to arrive.  You can however choose our upgraded delivery which is a next day courier service. 

IMPORTANT – Safe Place delivery – Most couriers deliver to a “Safe Place” by default and unless you specify at the time of order (either in the order notes area or via email), it will be assumed that a safe place delivery is accepted by the buyer.  Once left by the courier, photographic evidence of the place left and GPS tracking of the handheld device will serve as evidence that your order has been delivered to your property.  It is the buyers responsibility to inform Oh Sew Sweet Ltd if no safe place is available.  We will then inform the courier not to leave your item and to retry delivery.

Next day delivery – We offer next day shipping for a flat rate of £9.00. Our cutoff for these orders is 12pm, although we will make every effort to send orders placed after this time on the same day.

Orders placed by 12pm will be dispatched to arrive the next working day where possible.  Next day delivery is not available on Bank Holidays or to the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and remote parts of Scotland. Orders placed after 12pm on a Friday will be sent out on Monday.

International orders are also sent via Royal Mail and delivery times will vary considerably depending on your local postal deliveries.

Post & Packing Rates

P&P for delivery in the UK:

  • FREE for orders of £30.00 or above
  • £2.50 for orders up to £30 using a 3-5 day service
  • £4.95 if you choose our enhanced next day service (Regardless of order value)

NOTE:  Next day service does not guarantee a next day delivery to you from date of order.  It guarantee’s that we will use a Next Day delivery service once your order is processed, however, we do try wherever possible to prioritise Next Day Delivery orders.

P&P for delivery outside the UK: 

We charge a fixed rate for delivery outside of UK. The rate is £10 for P&P however if your item is small and significantly less cost to post, we will review the charges and refund you the difference.

If your order hasn’t arrived

Our system will email you to let you know when we have despatched your order, but please wait 10 days before contacting us about non-delivery. We know it’s frustrating, but it’s most likely on its way and we can’t chase Royal Mail about it until the 10 days have passed anyway.

It’s worth checking with your local delivery office to see if they have anything for you, as sometimes you may not have been notified that a parcel is waiting there for you to collect. We’ve also had cases of packages being delivered to neighbours but no card being left for the recipient.

If your order still hasn’t arrived after 10 days and it’s not been left somewhere for you to collect, please get in touch and we’ll investigate to see if we can track it down for you! And if all else fails, we’ll do our best to replace the original order.


Online, mail and telephone order customers have the right to cancel their order for a limited time even if the goods are not faulty. Sales of this kind are known as ‘distance selling’.

You have the right to a refund if you have told us within 14 days of receiving your goods that you want to cancel. You then have another 14 days to return the goods.

We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back.   The exception to this is printed goods or digital goods that are easily copied.  These items are sold to you on a non returnable/refundable basis.
